Privacy policy
JoyPeek collects the bare minimum, sells nothing and passes nothing on. Here are the details, without needless jargon.
Data controller
Joris, publisher of joypeek.com, reachable at [email protected].
What we collect
| Technical server logs | IP address, page requested, date, browser. Purpose: security and proper operation of the site (legitimate interest). Retention: 12 months at most, then deletion. |
|---|---|
| Launch notification sign-up | Your email address and the date of your consent. Purpose: to send you one email when the service opens (consent). Retention: until that email is sent, then six months at most, or until you ask to be removed. |
| Price checks sent by the extension | Address of the Joybuy product page, title, price, RRP, availability, date. Nothing about you: no identifier, no account, no browsing history. The IP address is not stored with the check. |
| Emails received | Your message and your address, for as long as needed to reply and at most one year. |
What we do not do
- No advertising or third-party analytics cookie. The site works without cookies.
- No sale or transfer of data to third parties.
- No profiling: future alerts will only serve to notify you of the price you chose.
Hosting and transfers
Data is hosted in France on an OVH server administered by the publisher. The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which transmits your IP address to Google when the page loads; this provider receives no other information.
Your rights
You can request access to, rectification, erasure or restriction of the data concerning you, and withdraw your consent at any time, by emailing [email protected]. Reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (cnil.fr), or with your local authority.
Affiliate links
Once the partnership is active, clicking an affiliate link to Joybuy will pass a JoyPeek identifier to the partner network and set, on the merchant's site, a cookie used to track the commission. That cookie is theirs, not ours: it falls under their privacy policy. JoyPeek only receives the amount of the commissions, never your identity or the details of your purchases.
